E-Minah AKA The Grussle has been a major player in our music scene for quite some time now. As an in-house producer for Inner Loop Records, he has worked with the top tier of MCs in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. He's also been featured in countless beat battles and producer showcases.

Board Games Beat Battle Competition Rules

rankings will be bracketed randomly
the first 2 rounds are 30 second beats
the 3rd round is two 30 second beats
the final round is two 45 second beats
judges pick the winner of each round

You should bring at least 6 to 8 beats because their could be overtime rounds. Producers will be judged on the melody, mix, and hit potential of their tracks.

Grammy Nominated Artist and Producer KOKAYI recentlly licensed two songs to French film Company Tingo Films. KOKAYI produced and rhymed on the original songs "Believe It" and " LeRoi" which appear in the short film “A l’arraché” directed by Paul Manate.

The film is scheduled to be shown at the Cannes Film Festival and Clermont Festival which is considered the biggest event in the world for short films. It is also scheduled to broadcast on Canal TV on February 3rd.

The film is about about a worker who gets fired and decides to “sacrifice” his leg to get the insurance. The main character is played famous French soccer player Vikash Dhorasoo.

Celebrate the DMV Music Movement on January 17 at the Original DMV Music Awards

(DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia) – On January 17, 2010, the DMV will celebrate independent music and entertainment for the fourth consecutive year. The Original 4^th DMV Music Awards™ will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Hampton Conference Center located at 207 West Hampton Place in Capitol Heights, MD. Red carpet entry for nominees begins at 5:30 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Hip-hop 4 the Homeless, a charity that assists homeless residents throughout major inner cities. Tickets are $30 in advance.

“The vision for the awards this year, as it has been since its creation in 2006, is to pay homage to rappers, vocalists, comedians, songwriters, producers, bands, spoken-word artists and others who have made tremendous strides in their independent careers,” said DMV Music Awards creator Major Cameron, known as Brother Maniac of MC3 Records, LLC. “These entertainers continuously hustle and grind everyday to gain proper exposure of their talents.
